Iftar Dinner for 100 Martyr Families Organized with Sponsorship from Veyselloğlu Group of Companies

March 5, 2026 Veyselloğlu Group of Companies On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, an event was held for a group of martyr families, sponsored by the Veyselloğlu Group of Companies and organized by the "Zafar" Public Association for Support of Martyr Families. The event was dedicated to both March 8 – International Women's Day and the month of Ramadan, with the participation of more than 100 family members of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The Iftar dinner began with a commemoration of the dear memory of the martyrs, the performance of the National Anthem, and prayers for the souls of the fallen heroes. Speaking at the event, Sevinc Orucova, Chairwoman of the "Zafar" Public Association, and Afat Talibova, spouse of the founder of Veyselloğlu Group of Companies, Aydin Talibov, expressed their immense pride in the martyrs who gave their lives for the motherland. The speeches highlighted the attention and care provided by the state to martyr families and veterans, as well as the significance of Veyselloğlu Group of Companies' continuous support for the employment and social welfare of martyr families. During the event, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva, and Members of Parliament Mehriban Valiyeva, Nigar Mammadova, and Elnara Akimova also delivered speeches. They congratulated the mothers and wives of martyrs on the occasion of March 8, praising their sacrifice and strong will with deep respect. Family members of the martyrs – mothers and wives – also spoke at the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of always keeping the memory of our dear martyrs high. The event continued with patriotic artistic performances by the People's Artist of Azerbaijan, Nazakat Teymurova, and the young singer Yusif Jafarbeyli, a finalist of the IX "Mugham" television competition. At the conclusion of the event, the Veyselloğlu Group of Companies presented gifts to the families of the martyrs.
